That is something CEO Thomas Krogh-Jacobsen from the game developer Pixel Pandemic knows a lot about; knowledge that he has chosen to share in the radio show De 6 Hatte on the national Danish talk radio Radio24syv – a radio show that focuses on entrepreneurs each week.</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Venture Capitalists often conceive of the gaming industry as a high risk investment. But the industry is still young and evolving so fast that a lot of investors have not invested in games before and find it difficult seeing what does and do not work in a games project,&#8221; Thomas Krogh-Jacobsen states on the show.</em></p>
<p><em>In the studio he is joined by two investment fund experts: Ulla Brockenhuus-Schack from Seed Capital and Nikolaj Nyholm from Sunstone Capital. Together with Tine Thygesen from Founders House, an invitation-only workspace for ambitious technology start-ups and experienced tech entrepreneurs, they analyze how to best approach investment funds and how to streamline a project and make it interesting as an investment opportunity.</em></p>

<p>Blandt de 150 deltagere var Thomas Krogh-Jacobsen, der er direktør i Pixel Pandemic, som udvikler spil til sociale platforme. Han var interesseret i at høre mere om mulighederne for at rejse venture kapital:<br />
- Browser-spil distribueret igennem bl.a. Facebook er ”born global” fra start. Men det er nødvendigt at rejse penge til produktionsomkostningerne forbundet med spiludviklingen.</p>
<p>- Vi har allerede rejst noget kapital fra danske business angels, som har vist os tillid, men det er generelt svært at rejse risikovillig kapital i spilindustrien i Danmark. Deres investeringhar gjort os i stand til at accelerere den vækst vi har nu, så vi er på vej mod den første million registrerede brugere &#8211; og det er jo et pænt antal, der også vidner om markedspotentiale og skalerbarhed. Men for at kunne eskalere, så kunne man godt forestille sig, at det ville være nødvendigt med en tilstedeværelse i The Valley &#8211; det er der epicentret for spiludvikling ligger, det er der, hvor alle de store aktører er i øjeblikket.</p>
<p>- Derfor er vi ved at undersøge, om der er mulighed for at oprette et datterselskab i Californien og migrere virksomheden helt eller delvist til The Valley hvor muligheden for at rejse venture kapital er langt større.  Jeg håber dog, at vi er i stand til at fastholde kontoret i København.</p>
